Ingredients: 5 eggs, 1kg of flour, 2 glasses of sugar, 1 glass of olive oil, a half glass of milk, a pinch of salt,a half packet of sweets baking powder, an orange grated peel, the juice of an orange, 1or 2 glasses of liqueur (to taste), olive oil to fry. Depress a heap of flour and let the broken eggs falling in the middle of it. Shake up the eggs with a fork pour out all the ingredients and, going on with shaking, pour out the flour to obtain a soft dough. With an oily tea spoonful, takea little bit of dough and let it falling into the boiling oil. Fry the castagnole in that way one at a time,then strain them, and sprinkle with sugar or if you like, with sugar and alkermes. Serve them tepid or cold.
